The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) hosts the annual Ixom Best Tasting Tap Water in Australia  competition.

Water authorities from regional and metropolitan areas participate in state heats and the winners go head to head in the national competition.  Water samples are judged on qualities like colour, clarity, odour and mouthfeel during blind taste tests.
