The Victorian Sport Awards is the night of nights for the Victorian sporting community; celebrating participants, coaches, organisers and the volunteers behind the scenes from all levels of sport in Victoria.

THE BRIEF

Each year the Victorian Sport Awards honours those who have made an outstanding contribution to sport in Victoria as individual or team athletes, coaches, administrators and volunteers from both metropolitan and regional areas in Victoria.

PPR has been engaged by Vicsport to announce the drive nominations when the Awards open and highlight the recipients of the Awards.

OUR RESPONSE

Targeting media across Victoria, relevant national media and sports media, the annual campaign starts with an announcement that the nominations are open for state sporting associations, regional sport assemblies, teammates, club members, coaches and local communities to enter their heroes.

Then finalists in the 18 categories are announced, followed by the recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award and finally the winners across the various categories.

Local media love local stories and sport is an integral part of Australian culture, all of which lends itself to successful campaigns each year.

RESULTS

For six years, we have generated national and Victorian publicity across TV, print, radio, and online announcing that nominations are open, releasing the details of the finalists, announcing the recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award and the winners from the 2018 Awards to the 2024 Awards.
