Progressive PR & Communications was engaged by Sustainability Victoria to launch the second phase of the Better Bag Habits initiative in the run up to the Victorian Government’s state-wide ban on lightweight plastic shopping bags. The brief was to build on the positive community support for reusable bags and to help establish desired behaviour by encouraging Victorian shoppers to bring their own reusable bags with them every day, not just to the supermarket.

PPR&C developed a multi-level strategic approach which factored in the need of various stakeholders. Over the campaign period PPR&C secured widespread local and national coverage including 7 news, ABC News, Broadsheet, Timeout Melbourne and more. PPR&C also produced and managed successful end-to-end community activations at Queen Victoria Market and Bourke Street Mall which highlighted the team’s capacity to create innovative ideas being the eye-catching Green Sustainability Santa.
