The brand-new Fruit for Good flavour will donate 100% of profits to Foodbank
Australia’s #1 yogurt brand*, Chobani, has collaborated with Foodbank to create a brand-new yogurt with 100% of the profits donated to help the charity put meals on the table for vulnerable people across Australia. Throughout their long-standing partnership with Australia’s largest food relief organisation, Chobani has donated over one million meals to Aussies in need and hope to elevate their support with the launch of the new 170g pot, Fruit for Good.
Now available in Coles and Woolworths and leading independent retailers, Fruit for Good is a fruit salad flavoured yogurt with a delicious blend of pineapple, strawberry, watermelon and apple.
The first project of its kind in Foodbank Australia history, the development of this product has been truly collaborative between Chobani and Foodbank Australia as they’ve worked together holistically to ensure as much money as possible is donated to help those in need.
Across Chobani’s entire supply chain – from ingredients, packaging and retail – partners are also donating to Foodbank.
Lyn Radford, Managing Director, Chobani Australia said, “At Chobani we believe good food is a right not a privilege, so we’re really excited to launch our Fruit for Good yogurt and help Foodbank provide food relief across Australia.”
“We’re really proud to lead the way, using food as a force for good, and we’re delighted that our suppliers have jumped on board by also donating their profits for our Fruit for Good yogurt.”
With 170g of goodness in each pot, Aussies can not only enjoy quality Chobani yogurt, but can also contribute to ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious food.
“Much like Chobani, we believe that food is a human right – it’s a need that we all share. Everyone deserves good, healthy, and nutritious food on the table and it’s this core belief that has driven the outcome of this project; we all hope it results in smiling faces across Australia,” said Dave McNamara, CEO Foodbank Victoria.
As part of their longstanding partnership, Chobani makes a broad range of fresh product for Foodbank every week to be distributed to communities in need across the country.
McNamara continued, “If there is one thing this pandemic has taught us, it’s that we have to adapt and that’s what Chobani has done here: broken the mould on how companies can assist charities to do their work. This new product is demonstrating what we can achieve for vulnerable people.”
With great minds donating their time and effort, Chobani and Foodbank are making a difference to Australian lives.
